Week 3 at CIT - The Fun Continues

After not being in an education environment for the past 6 years it was somewhat difficult getting into the mindset of being in lectures and assimilating the knowledge given. But now its the 3rd week "the penny has dropped" in a sense as the new information was starting to flow into my mind.

I am starting to see the HTML & JAVA code flow with more ease every time something new is given to us. Learning about Networks and their exact workings rather than just knowing it would work if it did "this" or "that". Even the CIT Lectures which I didnt think much to begin with is starting to become more of an interest.

I am also getting to know the people around me and every now and then helping each other out with either programming problems or just general "What do we do here"

Working as a team has its many rewards such having fun solving the task or project just as long as everyone does their fair share of work.

Week 2 at the CIT

Week 2 had its timetable rearranged so a few people didn't make it to certain classes as they were working with the old one.

That week we started to get into the work on the modules for that semester. Luckily by Tuesday I was finally on the CIT system and got my student card and computer login details (felt like forever getting them) So finally was able to use the computers and participate in the lessons dealing with computer related work.

Note...Will update the last 2 entries once I have remembered certain parts lol

Life at CIT Week 1

If someone said to me 2 weeks ago "what do you do?" I would have to think of something fast to make my life sound interesting.

But on Friday 9th Sept I was finally accepted onto the Web Development course after much pleading to let me on.

Went in on Monday 12th to the CIT with my Friend who had recently transferred from Limerick University. I handed in my registration form to Admins and proceeded in walking around getting to grips with the place. It was interesting to find that someone else was also attending the CIT my good friend Lynn.

Tuesday was the day lectures started and at first was slightly nerve racking as didn't know anyone on my course. After a while started to get used to the whole back to education (as it has been 5 years since I was at college)

Most of the Lectures of that week spoke about the modules and what happens if you dont turn up for the classes which I have no intention of skipping any time soon.
